GET THE WORD OUT! There are many scammers out there who are targeting those who are not technologically savvy..and even those who think they might be. I personally know people who've almost been scammed and some who have actually been scammed. I've been watching scam baiters (on YouTube and Twitch) who bait the scammers, waste their time and occasionally help victims, some of whom have paid hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to get their computers "fixed" and refund money that they think they owe to Microsoft and Amazon. They tell their victims not to tell anyone about the phone call and are pretty convincing to those who are not in the know. Scam baiting has actually become a lucrative "profession" for some; their audience pays them to be entertained. They use voice changers, play different characters and spend hours talking to the scammers. Some of the most famous ones are Kitboga, Scammer Payback and Jim Browning in case you feel the need to see the scammers in action. What really upsets me when watching these streams...often live...is the background noise in these call centers. It's horrific to hear scammers in action, scamming people all over the world. They have no shame. Please get the word out to your friends and family, especially the most vulnerable, about these scams. You'd be surprised at how easily they can get sucked in. And please share this post so that the word is spread far and wide. These scammers need to be stopped and it has to start somewhere...with no victims, there can be no scams.
